Nissan Cube one of the ‘Ten Most Beautiful Cars’
Posted on July 13th, 2009 1 commentNo doubt I’m a little bias when it comes to the Nissan Cube, but now I have irrefutable scientific proof that dustbins any doubt about whether the Cube’s unique look is appealing to the eye.
In his Wheels.ca article reviewer John LeBlanc lists the Nissan Cube as one of the 10 most beautiful new cars you can buy today.
LeBlanc writes: “Like an Apple iPod, the Cube’s a well-thought-out piece of industrial design made affordable for the masses.
Yet some details – wrap-around window at the rear on the passenger side, and refrigerator-style opening – make the Cube look like nothing else on the road today.”

I bet you I have the Crappiest Car in Canada
Posted on May 13th, 2009 6 commentsI am willing to bet you money that I have the crappiest car in Canada.
And if you think you can top it, send me photos or video to prove it.
If you can convince me and a panel of esteemed judges (the readers of this website) that your car is crappier than mine, I’ll pick up the tab on $100 dinner anywhere in Canada - I’ll get you a gift certificate or just send you the money or whatever. I’ll post all the entries on this blog, which will make for some pretty interesting posts!
Why am I doing this? Two reasons: 1) I think it would be kind of cool to have the crappiest car in all of Canada and, (2) I’m one of the final contestants to win a brand new Nissan Cube car and I figure this would be a great way to pick up the sympathy vote (if you already feel sorry for me, you can go here and vote for me).
So here goes.
This is my 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit with 318,789 kilometres on the odometer. I actually really like it, it’s very cheap on gas, passes air quality inspections with ease and works great, except of course for the non-existent parking brake, torn seats and lack of door handles. My wife and children (and some of the neighbors) mockingly gave it the name “speed.”

Nissan Cube the Second Octuplet Mom this year - 3rd in history
Posted on April 15th, 2009 No commentsVANCOUVER - There are unconfirmed reports tonight that Octuplets have been born at a local hospital here - making this the second set of Octuplets born in less than a year and the third ever in recorded history.
The mother, whose name has not been released by hospital officials due to privacy concerns, and the 8 newborns are said to be in good condition. One intrepid reporter was able to snap a quick somewhat blurry photo through the 5th story hospital window of the room the mother is said to be residing. At this point the remains unconfirmed, but it does appear that there are 8 identifiable newborns in the picture.
While unable to confirm the authenticity of the photo Chief Medical Doctor Ray Charelston did agree that, “it looks like there are 7 Nissan Cubes and 1 ‘Twitter bird’ in the photo.”

Nissan Cube Saves Baby Whale
Posted on April 13th, 2009 No commentsVANCOUVER - In a story usually only seen in Hollywood, a Nissan Cube saved a baby whale off the coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
Coast Guard received a call from a local whale watching tour operator at 9:34 am yesterday that a Gray whale calf at 9:34 am yesterday that a Gray whale calf appeared to have been separated from its mother in a storm the night before. Coast Guard ship Captain, Neil McKredulous gave us exclusive details on how the story unfolded and the dramatic rescue.
“When we got the call about the little fella’ we tried our best to get a vessel out to take a look right away, but unfortunately all our ships were at a press conference photo op on the Saint Lawrence with the Prime Minister,” says McKredulous.
Without a boat, McKredulous and his crew had all but given up hope of a rescue when they received a call from a Nissan Cube reporting that it had spotted the baby Gray whale. “We get this call from a friggin’ car calling itself the ‘Nissan Cube’ telling us it’s in a friggin’ rowboat and its managed to lasso the baby whale and take it back to its mother. We thought it was a prank, until we saw the picture.”
The picture was taken by local fisherman Charles Carraway who witnessed the touching moment when the Nissan Cube and the Gray whale said goodbye for the last. “A very touching moment between nature and car,” commented Carraway.
